THE RICEPE FOR TIRAMISU,

                        simple and traditional recipe for tiramisu:


Ingredients

6 egg yolks

3/4 cup white sugar

2/3 cup milk

1 1/4 cups heavy cream

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 pound mascarpone cheese

24 ladyfingers

2 tablespoons strong brewed coffee, cooled

2 tablespoons rum

1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until well blended. Whisk in milk and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon. Remove from heat and allow to cool.In a large bowl, beat cream with vanilla until stiff peaks form,Fold in mascarpone cheese to the egg mixture until smooth.In a small bowl, combine the brewed coffee and rum, deep each ladyfinger in the cofffe mixure then arrenge in in a single layer inthe bottom of a 9x13 inch dish, spoon half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then repeat another layer of the lady fingers and mascarpone mixture. cover and refrigerate for atlast 2 hours, or orver night. before serving, sprinkle the top with cocoa powder. Enjoy your homemade tiramisu!
