SPEGHETTI WITH MEATBALLS,
Spaghetti with meatballs is a dish that features spaghetti noodles with a tomato-based sauce and meatballs made from ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, and spices
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound spaghetti
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, parsley, and basil until well combined. Roll the mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are browned and cooked through.
While the meatballs are baking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until softened.
Add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and black pepper to the skillet and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water, according to package instructions. Drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the tomato sauce.
Add the meatballs to the skillet and toss everything together until the spaghetti and meatballs are coated in the sauce. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired.Enjoy your homemade spaghetti with meatballs!
